Description
This was my second visit to this colorful island. This is one of my favorite Burano photos. Burano is an island in the Northern Venetian Lagoon, about 40 minutes away from Venice by boat. It is an old fishing village, dating back to Roman time. The island is famous for the art of lace making and its bright multicolored houses.

Great capture of this passageway and its arched entrance/exit, Lisa. I also love Venice. After a first all too brief 2 night visit, I returned for seven days. Burano was, of course a must-see-again sight. f/l

I always enjoy the way an arch frames a scene and the street with the colorful house facades we glimpse through this one is very inviting. The perspective draws you into the charming scene.

Thanks, CJ--I'm going through editing photos over a year old and just came across this!
