Description
Taken outside of a restaurant in Padua, Italy. Being from the US, I was surprised to find they served horse meat. The menu was in Italian and I'm glad I asked what the entres' meant in English. One of them was horse meat. The waitress said, "We love our horses when they are alive, and we love to eat them when they are dead." One of my companions did order it and I tried a bite. It was a bit stringy and tasted like "chicken!" ;-)
